IMPORTANT MESSAGE TO ALL TOWN RESIDENTS :
There are many road signs in the town that have been vandalized and stolen. We are talking about dozens of signs stolen, most of which are road name signs. As a result there are many roads in the town that have no identification. We are in the process of developing a more secure road sign system that will make it more difficult for vandals to steal signs.
We are asking :
IF YOU SEE SOME UNUSUAL OR CRIMINAL BEHAVIOR RELATED TO THEFT OF SIGNS PLEASE NOTIFY THE HIGHWAY SUPERINTENDENT IMMEDIATELY. 607-783 2480. Leave a message if no answer. Please do not get involved with anyone who you may observe destroying town property - just try to get license plates #'s and vehicle description, times and dates. Any assistance with this problem will be greatly appreciated. If you see something - say something.
