The Town of Butternuts Highway Department is accepting applications for a

Heavy Motorized Equipment Operator/Laborer. (HMEO)

Duties include: Driving 10 wheel dump truck, hauling material, plowing and sanding, operating a backhoe, roller, excavator, 1 ton truck and loader.  Mechanical knowledge a plus. Able to perform light maintenance on truck.

Requirements:  Must have a clean NYS Driver’s License Class B (Class A preferred).  Must pass Drug and Alcohol Test.  Must have reliable transportation and a working phone.

Salary is per union contract.

Town of Butternuts Town Board will hold a public hearing on September 21, 2020 at 6:45 PM at the Town Municipal Building, 1234 St. Hwy 51, Gilbertsville, NY   13776 to be followed by a regular town board meeting.

Purpose of the hearing is to hear from residents concerning the adoption of A Local Law called Site Plan Review Law-Town of Butternuts.

     The Town of Butternuts is accepting sealed bids for the installation of air lines in the new truck garage at 617 State highway 51. 

     The bid shall include all materials and labor to conform to spec sheet available at the Town Clerk’s office or by contacting building and grounds at 607 783 2463. Installation must be complete by October 20 2020.

     Bids shall be marked as airline bid and returned to the clerk’s office by September 15 at 12:00 noon. Bids must include a non collusion sheet and proof of insurance relevant to this work. This may be a prevailing wage job.

     The Town of Butternuts reserves the right to reject any or all bids. 

The Town of Butternuts is accepting sealed bids for a portion of the Town property at 1234 State Highway 51.  The property is approximately 80 feet by 250 feet and has a steel structure on it.  The property and building sell in the current condition AS IS.  Inspection of the property will be September 5, 2020 from 1:30 to 2:30 PM.  The Town will have the property surveyed after a bid is accepted.
 
A bank check made out to the Town of Butternuts for 10% of the bid amount must accompany the bid. Unsuccessful bidders’ checks will be returned.  The successful bidder must pay the remainder at closing.
 
Bids must arrive in the Town Clerk’s office by 12:00 noon on September 15, 2020.  The bids will be opened at the regular meeting of the Town Board on September 21, 2020 after 7:00 PM.  The Town of Butternuts reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
