LEGAL NOTICE

The Town of Butternuts Town Board will hold its regularly scheduled meetings on

October 23, 2019, November 6, 2019, and November 20, 2019

at 6:45PM at the Town Municipal Building.

Sealed bids will be received by the Town of Butternuts, hereinafter referred to as the "Owner," until 12:00 p.m. October 22, 2019, at the Town of Butternuts Municipal Building, 1234 St. Hwy. 51, PO Box 318 Gilbertsville, NY  13776. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud for the DWP Facility Addition Project at 12:00 PM on                      October 22, 2019.

 

Work of Contract No. 6 – Salt Storage Facility includes all tools, labor, materials and equipment necessary for the construction of a 20’ x 30’ shed with concrete knee walls and wood pole construction addition and concrete apron. Work under the contract shall include, but not be limited to:

 

  • Site work – Grading and Excavation.
  • Concrete foundation and concrete knee wall.
  • Wood framed construction and wood truss cover structure
  • Metal roofing and siding panels.
  • Concrete slab and apron.

 

All bids must be made on the blank form of proposal attached hereto.

 

A bidder may withdraw any proposal submitted prior to the hour set for the closing of the bids provided the request is signed in a manner identical with the proposal being withdrawn.

 

If the Contract is to be awarded, Owner will award the Contract to the Bidder with the lowest responsible bid for the Total Base Bid.

 

The Owner will be responsible for payment in accordance with the terms of the contract when the work is completed.

 

The Owner is exempt from New York State sales taxes on material, supplies, and equipment to be permanently incorporated in the Work.  Exemption No. 15-6000884.  Said taxes shall not be included in the Bid. 

 

A complete set of Bidding and Contract Documents may be obtained from the Town of Butternuts at the Town of Butternuts Municipal Building, 1234 State Highway 51,                PO Box 318, Gilbertsville, NY  13776 between normal business hours. Bidding and Contract Documents must be picked up at the Town of Butternuts Municipal Building.

 

Digital Copies of the Bidding and Contract Documents will be provided to prospective bidders upon request. Prospective bidders who obtain electronic project documents are responsible to contact the Town of Butternuts to register their contact information on the project documents distribution list for the purposes of receiving bidding Addenda and other bidding information.

                   

The Town Board of Butternuts reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids received and to reject any or all bids without explanation.

 

There will be no Special Pre-Bid Meeting for this bidding. Appointments to review the proposed project areas can be scheduled by contacting Brendon Becker – Lamont Engineers 518-234-4028

Town of Butternuts Town Board will hold a public hearing on October 23, 2019 at 6:45 PM at the Town Municipal Building, 1234 St. Hwy 51, Gilbertsville, NY   13776 to be followed by a regular town board meeting.

Purpose of the hearing is to hear from residents concerning the adoption of A Local Law to Override the Tax Levy Limit established in General Municipal Law 3-C.

NOTICE

 

Town of Butternuts Town Board will hold a Public Hearing on November 6, 2019 at 6:45 pm in the Town Hall, Gilbertsville, New York.

 

Purpose of the hearing is to review the preliminary budget for fiscal year 2020.

 

The preliminary budget is available for inspection at the Town Clerk’s Office during regular business hours or on the town website at www.townofbutternuts.org

 

Pursuant to Section 113 of the Town Law, the proposed salaries of the following Town Officers are hereby specified as follows:
